Atlanta, GA – Tea Party Patriots President and co-founder Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement today, reacting to a press conference held by Senators Patty Murray (D-WA), Jeff Merkley (D-OR) and Ed Markey (D-MA) regarding well-qualified Supreme Court nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch.

“Judge Neil Gorsuch is exceptionally qualified to be our next Supreme Court justice, which is why there is strong bipartisan support for his nomination. Senators Patty Murray, Jeff Merkley and Ed Markey are simply doing the bidding of the radical, extreme left, who are only interested in creating gridlock in Congress. Senators on both sides of the aisle should ignore the demands of the far left and support a fair hearing and an up-or-down vote on Judge Gorsuch so the Supreme Court can have a full complement of nine justices.”
