Atlanta, GA – Tea Party Patriots President and co-founder Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement today, reacting to Judge Neil Gorsuch getting voted out of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“The party-line vote sending Judge Gorsuch’s nomination to the Senate floor shows the majority of the Democratic caucus is willfully oblivious to how well qualified this nominee is to serve on our nation’s highest court. Likewise, they’re willfully oblivious to the fact that Judge Gorsuch is exactly the type of judge voters wanted for the high court when they elected President Trump. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has repeatedly said the full Senate will confirm Judge Gorsuch by the end of this week; we look forward the fulfillment of that prediction and his filling the vacancy left on the Supreme Court by the late Justice Antonin Scalia.”
