Atlanta, GA – On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a confirmation hearing with FBI Director nominee Kash Patel. Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:

“We at Tea Party Patriots Action urge every senator to support Kash Patel for FBI Director. For over a decade, the FBI has been going after law-abiding Americans for partisan purposes. They have gone after Catholics, parents who attend school board meetings, and pro-life protesters who peacefully demonstrate outside abortion clinics, among many other Americans. Tea Party Patriots Action itself was a victim of the weaponization of government during the Obama administration’s infamous IRS scandal. The FBI is in desperate need of reform, and Kash Patel will deliver that reform. As a former chief investigator for the House Intelligence Committee, Patel exposed the FBI’s abuse of power under the Biden administration, and has vowed to combat the corruption that’s eroded public trust in the bureau. He has the drive and determination to change the FBI into what it needs to be – a politically-neutral law enforcement agency, protecting every American from threats domestic and foreign. Patel is an outstanding nominee for FBI Director and he deserves the support of every senator.”
