Atlanta, GA – The full Senate is expected to vote on Pam Bondi’s nomination for Attorney General this week. Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:

“It’s time to ensure that no American is targeted by a Department of Justice weaponized against political opponents, and to ensure that the law is applied equally to all. Consequently, we at Tea Party Patriots Action urge every senator to support Pam Bondi for Attorney General.

“After four years of the corrupt Merrick Garland at the helm, the Department of Justice is a mess. Pam Bondi will rededicate the DOJ to its original mission — fair and equal application of the law for all Americans. Under Attorney General Bondi, there will no longer be partisan-fueled lawfare against conservatives and law-abiding Americans, which is a top priority for our activists.

“Tea Party Patriots Action worked closely with Bondi during President Trump’s first impeachment trial, when she consistently joined our weekly calls to activists mobilizing opposition to impeachment. Those who watched Bondi’s Senate confirmation hearing learned what Tea Party Patriots Action’s activists already know: Pam Bondi is smart, honest, and fearless. She will be an excellent Attorney General.”
