Atlanta, GA – President Trump has endorsed a Continuing Resolution (CR) through the remainder of the current fiscal year, which ends on September 30. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:

“On behalf of Tea Party Patriots Action and its members, supporters, and activists, I urge the Congress to pass a Continuing Resolution that funds the government at the FY 2024 levels for the duration of the fiscal year, as President Trump supports. This represents a spending freeze — and while we look forward to working with the White House and the Congress in the coming weeks and months to fashion a reconciliation bill and a long-term budget plan that works toward the balanced budget President Trump said last night he wanted to achieve, we recognize that the time and place for the budget savings necessary to achieve a balanced budget will be found in other legislation, and not in this Continuing Resolution.”
