Atlanta, GA – Today, former President Trump will be arraigned in a Manhattan courthouse after being indicted by a grand jury last week. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement:

“Today, President Trump is voluntarily surrendering to Manhattan prosecutors.  In doing so, he is acting with respect for our nation’s laws.  The same cannot be said for the Manhattan prosecutors who are arresting a former President because of a political vendetta – something you would see in the former Soviet Union. The weaponization of government against political foes is outrageous and something Tea Party Patriots experienced firsthand during the Obama-era IRS scandal.  We, at Tea Party Patriots Action, stand by President Trump as he fights the nexus of ‘woke prosecutors’ and legacy media. This is a sad day for America and for the rule of law.”
