Tea Party Patriots Action: Meetings Between DOGE Leaders &Congressional Leaders Should Lead to Savings forTaxpayers + Better Delivery of Government Services
December 5, 2024
Atlanta, GA – Today, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, and other DOGE leaders are meeting with Senate and House Republicans to discuss savings in federal spending and ways to deliver government services more efficiently. DOGE leaders are also meeting with Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), founder and chair of the Senate DOGE Caucus, along with members of that caucus. Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:
“The federal government does too much and costs too much, and it doesn’t deliver government services efficiently. We need change. We at Tea Party Patriots Action applaud Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy for hitting the ground running and working to build alliances on Capitol Hill so DOGE can help make that change.
“Tea Party Patriots Action was founded on the principles of smaller government and reining in government spending, so we couldn’t be more excited as Elon and Vivek dive into their challenging work of making the government smaller, less costly, and more efficient.
“In November, Tea Party Patriots Action released a survey showing strong public support for DOGE and government employee efficiency. The survey, conducted by McLaughlin & Associates, found that 71% of Americans support DOGE and 65% of Americans support firing government employees who do not return to their office post-pandemic.
“DOGE’s existence is supported by 79% of Republicans, 64% of Democrats, and 68% of Independents. So DOGE’s existence has broad, bipartisan support.
“We appreciate the work that Elon and Vivek are doing, and we are confident that today’s meetings will keep the momentum going.”
