ATLANTA, Ga. – Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund (TPPCF) Chairman Jenny Beth Martin today released the following statement, announcing that the Super PAC associated with the nation’s largest Tea Party group has endorsed Eric Burlison for Congress in the seat representing Missouri’s 7th Congressional District:

“Eric Burlison showed during his years of service in the Missouri legislature that he will be a strong conservative voice in Congress. A leader in the fight against Obamacare, he was the first state legislator in the country to introduce and then see to passage a bill that allowed the state to become one of just nine states to join the Health Care Compact.

“He has always been a champion for small business. In the state legislature, he worked to reduce taxes and cut regulations. In Congress, he’ll do the same, to generate the kind of sustainable economic growth we’re going to need to pay off the massive debt the big spenders have incurred.

“He knows that inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon, as Milton Friedman said, and he knows that the only way to reduce inflation is to stop the reckless spending and incentivize growth on the supply side.

“He opposes President Biden’s illegal student loan repayment transfer scheme, because he knows the president does not have the legal authority to simply give away taxpayer dollars.

“In the Missouri state Senate, Eric led the fight for election integrity. He introduced and fought for legislation to prohibit municipalities from using outside sources of funding for elections – that is, no ‘Zuckerbucks’ – and worked to secure our elections, so that we have confidence that our government truly rests on the consent of the governed. And he knows that when it comes to our children’s education, parents must have a voice — and must have ultimate decision-making authority.

“He supports a secure border and will fight the Biden Administration on its open border policies.
