Tea Party Patriots Action Reacts to McCarthy Debt Ceiling Proposal
Atlanta, GA – This week, the House is expected to vote on Speaker McCarthy’s debt ceiling proposal, the “Limit, Save, Grow Act.” This proposal ties a $1.5 trillion debt ceiling increase to long-term spending cuts. In response, TPPA Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: "The tea party movement began as a protest to out-of-control government spending, and Tea Party Patriots Action has always called for fiscal responsibility. Today, with inflation out of control because of the Democrats’ record spending, our country needs significant spending cuts now more than ever.“Giving a blank check to a debtor who ran up his or her credit limit would be irresponsible and foolhardy, which is exactly what President Biden and his Democratic cohorts in Congress want. “Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans are looking at what is best for the American people and economy and have presented the Limit, Save, Grow Act as a compromise for the debt ceiling increase. Under this proposal, instead of a blank check debt ceiling increase, the debt ceiling will be raised for a year, with provisions attached to help improve the economy, including clawing back unspent COVID funds, defunding the hiring of 87,000 IRS agents, who, if hired, would be empowered to audit the American people, repealing the Green New Deal, and capping spending levels for 10 years.“The Limit, Save, Grow Act is a plan to get America back on the right path and will benefit the American economy as well as the American people.”

In doing so, he is acting with respect for our nation’s laws. The same cannot be said for the Manhattan prosecutors who are arresting a former President because of a political vendetta – something you would see in the former Soviet Union. The weaponization of government against political foes is outrageous and something Tea Party Patriots experienced firsthand during the Obama-era IRS scandal. Tea Party Patriots Action Generates Over 4,000 Comments Opposing New Gas Stove Regulations as CPSC Comment Period Ends TODAY
Atlanta, GA – Today, the comment period for the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)’s possible ban on gas stoves ends. Soon after CPSC Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. suggested a gas stove ban, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) launched a “Call to Action” urging its members and supporters to leave comments opposing new gas stove regulations. As of early Monday afternoon, TPPA helped 4,448 people to leave comments, almost half the total comments that were published. TPPA Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement: “There is no question the Biden administration wants to ban gas stoves, and the only way to stop them is to mobilize public pressure against such a ban. This is part of the administration’s ‘green agenda,’ which, as a practical matter, means making daily life more expensive and more inconvenient for hard-working Americans. Atlanta, GA – Today, President Biden issued his first veto, blocking a Congressional Review Act resolution of disapproval that would have overturned his administration's new Department of Labor (DOL) rule. The new rule allows private retirement plan fiduciaries to consider environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors when making investments. In response, TPPA Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: "Despite this resolution passing in both the House and Senate, Biden just issued his first veto to prop up his climate agenda and encourage ESG investing for retirement fund fiduciaries. An investment firm is not a SuperPAC or political entity. The funds these firms manage are not political donations. These are retirement funds entrusted to investment firms with one purpose and one purpose only, to produce the maximum return for retiring and retired Americans. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), cleared the Senate by unanimous consent last week. It would require that the director of national intelligence declassify “as much information as possible about the origin of COVID-19,” then make it available to the public. Tea Party Patriots Action said the exact same thing. So did a small minority of medical and national security experts. The federal government, led by the Liar-in-Chief, Dr. Anthony Fauci, launched a massive propaganda campaign to convince the public that the lab leak origin was a conservative myth.
