“The bill is passed.” These are the words of then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) after the monstrosity that is Obamacare was passed in the U.S. House of Representatives more than six years ago. For some, the words might as well have been “The die is cast,” as Pelosi’s words sounded the impending death knell of individual autonomy in personal healthcare decisions.
