Atlanta, GA – Today, Vice President Harris will visit the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona to discuss border security. In response, Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund President Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:

“Why bother making the trip, Vice President Harris? Thanks to you and your administration, every town is a border town. Every town struggles with the additional strain illegal aliens put on their hospitals, schools and police. Every town strains with the threat of the fentanyl that’s here now because of your administration’s failure to secure the border. Every town wishes its political leaders would enforce the laws on the books.

“Now Vice President Harris says she wants to do something about border security? Since the Biden-Harris administration took office, more than 10 million illegal aliens have crossed our border and settled into our country. The border crisis was deliberately caused by Kamala and her boss, who reversed President Trump’s strong border security policies and then granted ‘parole’ to millions of illegal aliens who should have been prevented from entering. Today, Vice President Harris will harp about the bipartisan Senate negotiations that broke down earlier this year. That bill was pitiful; all it would have done was legalize the administration’s illegal actions and increase funding to process illegal aliens faster. As President Trump said in the debate, if the vice president is really concerned about immigration, why has she spent three and a half years doing nothing? She and her boss have broad executive power to stop the flow of illegal aliens, but they don’t use it. That tells you everything you need to know. Today’s event is pure theater, and the American people won’t fall for it.”
