Atlanta, GA – Senate Republicans are filing a formal challenge to President Biden’s vaccine mandate under the Congressional Review Act.  All 50 Republican Senators joined the filing. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:

“President Biden’s illegal and immoral vaccine mandate is the most important issue facing the country today, which is why we have organized 500 nationwide protests against it. We thank the Republican Senators for uniting against the mandate, using the Congressional Review Act to mount a formal challenge.  The next step is to defund the mandate. The government is currently being funded by a Continuing Resolution that expires on December 3rd. No Senator or Member of Congress should vote for a C.R. or a long-term spending bill unless it specifically prohibits funding for the mandate. Any bill funding the government requires 60 votes in the Senate, which means passage requires at least 10 Republican votes. Now is not the time for Republicans to waver in pale pastels, but a time to stand boldly for individual freedom, medical freedom, and our inalienable rights. If Senate Republicans stay united, they have the leverage to crush the Administration’s mandate.”
