Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement in response to Republican Senators again taking a bold stand in favor of Constitutional government, preventing passage of the federal takeover of America’s elections.

“Today, the Senate voted on the radical ‘Pelosi Power Grab’ and, thankfully, Republicans prevented the bill from advancing. In recent months, states like Georgia, Texas, Arizona, and Florida have strengthened election integrity by making it easier to vote and harder to cheat. The ‘Pelosi Power Grab’ would have undermined these state-led improvements by making it easier to cheat in all 50 states. Far worse, this federal takeover of elections would have permanently established the federal government’s authority over the administration of America’s elections, an area the Constitution properly delegates to states.
