Oregon Patriot Feed rdubbels Looked at redistricting for Oregon. I own 80 acre farm in Halfway, OR (far east side). They don't like the current district. We had a state referendum to change the State Supreme Court for this very reason. It failed because all the power is concentrated here in the Portland area where I live most of the time. My issues regarding this include how my city government governs. While we are all out there being worried about how our state and federal governments dictate policy to us, few of us are aware of the rights being taken away from us by our local city and county government, who dictate land use, signage, local & transit taxes, police power & a myriad of other controls.
