Farmer Relief and Freedom Relay
From November 8th - 22nd, Tea Party Patriots™ are taking to the road on behalf of
The Valley That Hope Forgot.
Would you believe it if you were told that the American government is forcing tens of thousands of California farmers to fight for their survival all in order to protect a small 2 inch minnow?
Well it is happening in the Vally that Hope Forgot.
Time is running out. Unless legislation changes things in the next few weeks, it will be too late for the Farmers to get water for 2010.
In actions that can only be described as lacking the most basic humanity, the U.S. Congress has turned off the water to Central Valley farmers, leaving their land dry, their fields fallow, and their dreams and ambitions scattered in the dust. Tens of thousands are unemployed
and waiting in food lines because of the federal government, proving once again that the government is the problem, not the solution.
In the Central Valley of California, local groups including the Central Valley Tea Party, Water for All, Families Protecting the Valley, and local valley farmers have banded together to provide immediate and direct assistance to the suffering communities. The Central Valley Tea Party naturally reached out to their nationwide
network through the Tea Party Patriots™, and across the nation the response was overwhelmingly positive. From this nationwide web, the Farmer Relief & Freedom Relay was formed.
Does this affect you?
It's a fair question. Ask yourself this.
If the environmental policy of the federal government can shut off irrigation water to thousands of acres in the breadbasket of California and in so doing eliminate the American dream for tens of thousands of American farmers, what is to stop them from coming to your neighborhood, county or state and doing the same thing to you, your family or neighbors?
What can be done to one of us, can be done to all of us.

Why Tea Party Patriots?
On behalf of these struggling farmers, Tea Party Patriots has organized a campaign called the Farmers Relief and Freedom Relay. The relay is intended to do two things.
- Raise desperatly needed money for tens of thousands of proud struggling farmers and their wives who have been reduced to having to stand in food lines every day just to feed their families.
And as the Christmas season approaches, we felt like Tea Party Patriots is well positioned to help the people in this region that has been declared a state disaster area, as direct result of the actions of the federal government.
- Focus national grassroots attention on this tragedy that has been ignored by the all but absent press. Thankfully with Tea Party Patriots ready to take up the cause and millions of great Americans ready to help, the presses absence has only lead to their irrelevance. And remember this. What can be done to one of us, can be done to all of us.

California farmers – becoming the new Endangered Species
Meet David Wakefield of Cantua Creek, CA. Watch his videos below, this is the story of just one of tens of thousands of farmers.
Traveling through the Central Valley it is easy to see how the politicians have destroyed real estate values across the state. Valuable cropland has been intentionally laid waste by the Federal and State governments. The government is waging war against its own people. These policies create massive budget deficits, exhorbitantly high unemployment rates, and a landscape of environmental devastation.
Why are the political leaders doing this? Why are they punishing their own people? Here are some of the people whose lives and families are being punished by eco-terrorists in our government. America beware, these policies are spreading across the country. It must be stopped now or the government will own everything as it steals the wealth of its citizens.
David Wakefield of Cantua Creek, CA took me for a ride in the government created dust bowl

What Will Fix This?
PROBLEM
Thanks to the government’s misuse of the Federal Endangered Species Act and two
subsequent biological opinions, the vast majority of water that normally flows to California’s West-Side Central Valley
farmers has been shut off DURING THE GROWING SEASON in order to protect a 2” baitfish called the Delta Smelt*,
and a handful of other marine species**. Starting in 2009 and continuing on thereafter - through the enactment of the
San Joaquin River Settlement - water for struggling farms on the East-Side of the Valley will be diverted to restore a
long lost salmon run (one that experts say will not reestablish). THE RESULT is a growing Government created Dust
Bowl, 40+% unemployment for surrounding communities, bankruptcy for countless farmers and their families, higher food
prices nationally, a greater dependence on foreign produce, and a dangerous precedent for land owners NATIONWIDE.
SOLUTION
Contact your Federal lawmakers and demand a “Temporary Waiver” of the Endangered Species Act
for the two biological opinions affecting the farmers on the West-Side of the Central Valley, as well as an abolishment of
the “San Joaquin River Settlement” affecting the farmers on the East-Side. Tell them you support Farmers Over Fish.

In 2003, California lawmakers Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Diane Feinstein, and Sen.
Barbara Boxer all voted to a support a temporarily waiver of the Endangered Species Act in Albuquerque, New Mexico for
the 3" Silvery Minnow...a baitfish not unlike the Delta Smelt. High time they help their own state!
